MASSIVE Planner Sticker Haul from Glam Planner on Etsy

March 25, 2019

Disclaimer: Post is NOT sponsored. All opinions are my own, and photos were taken by me.

ve some sort of idea of what I need to get done.

I currently have an Erin Condren Life Planner, and this is my third year having this style of planner. I have the vertical layout, and I think it is perfect for people who like to make lists to check off throughout the day.

My favorite thing to do every once in a while is to use planner stickers to give a little bit of life to my planner for a week or so. Below are some kits I have used in the past…

Let’s get to the haul!

For those of you who don’t know, Elle Fowler has been a YouTuber for over ten years now, and she took a little bit of a break the last few years in order to focus on her sticker shop: Glam Planner. She is currently in the process of moving from L.A to Nashville, and her sticker shop is moving to there too. So, she had a massive sale to get rid of the planner stickers she had left in stock in L.A, and of course I had to get my hands on a few kits. Well, it’s a little more than a few…

I bought twenty kits in this sale that Elle had, and I am so happy with all of the kits I purchased. I wanted to buy a variety to be able to use throughout this year, and I feel like I have some perfect ones for Spring, Fall, and Autumn. There is one kit that I could use for Winter. I do have some leftover sticker kits that I have previously purchased that I could use in Winter as well, and I think I’m mostly set for the year.

If you want to get your own stickers…

If you are interested in getting in the planner sticker world, I definitely recommend Elle’s stickers, because they are great quality and not that expensive. There are some sticker kits that are expensive, but the quality is lacking. I think she picked out the great combination of printer and sticker paper to make these stickers look so good.

Let me know which of these kits is your favorite. I did already use one of these kits last week since Spring started, and if you want to check out that layout, go to my instagram: @annamaxwell018

Other than my blog, I regularly post on Instagram. Be sure to give me a follow @annamaxwell018 or @LittlebitPatchCo for updates on my daily life. Thanks for reading, Anna.

Pink Lily Boutique Haul – Fall 2018

September 18, 2018

This post is NOT sponsored by Pink Lily. This is my own opinion about my personal online shopping experience here.

I know it’s not quite Fall yet, but I couldn’t help myself. I came across the Pink Lily Boutique in August, and I immediately fell in love with their clothes. It was hard to control myself and not buy every article of clothing they sell, but I managed to keep it to a handful of items.

I typically don’t like to spend too much when I buy things from a shop online for the first time. You never know how the material is going to feel, or how their sizes work. I kept that in mind when I bought my first few items from them, and I anxiously awaited my package to arrive for the next week. When they finally did arrive, I was certainly pleased with the clothes.

Pink Lily Boutique – 6 Items (3 shirts, 1 pair of shorts, 2 dresses)

Run To The Ocean Striped Blouse (Size Small)

Only Thing I Know Striped Blouse (Small Size)

Charming As Can Be Plaid Sweater (Size Small)

Just Keep Dreaming Floral Shorts (Small Size)

Casual For Fall Dress (Size Small)

Glowing Fondness Striped Dress (Size Small)

Can I just say how incredibly pleased I was when I tried these on for the first time? Each article of clothing I bought was made from the most comfortable material. They were soft and seemingly well made. The only thing I wish I did was buy more from them.

My Total Was $146 for these items. Here’s why it was worth it:

Five out of the 6 items I bought were new collection items, and only one item was on sale. I am not one to normally buy anything if it is over $20. However, I decided to put a little bit more into my budget for this, as I wanted to really try out some of their newest clothes and see what I thought of them. Because of how soft and comfortable the material is, how much I like the look of the clothes, and how the shipping & delivery process went are the main reasons why I would buy from the shop again without any doubt in my mind.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

After my successful online shopping experience, I started following their Instagram page and their VIP Instagram page(which gives insight on upcoming products and sometimes extra sales). They regularly have sales that are 10% over $50. It is very easy to spend over $50 here, but I’ve found that there are usually better sale opportunities that pop up. It can be a holiday or just a random day, but there are usually higher percentages off on those special sale opportunities.

I recommend that if you are concerned with spending too much money to wait for a holiday sale or follow them on Instagram, text notifications, or email notifications. You will get alerted when there are sales, and they sometimes have sales that are 25% off or more depending on how big of a holiday/sale weekend it is.

Pink Lemonade Cupcakes

July 25, 2018

I am not really someone who would say they are a great cook. For the longest time, the only thing I could cook was breakfast foods, and honestly, it isn’t that hard to scramble some eggs or make a pancake. However, it did take me quite a while to master the art of not making the pancake doughy in the middle or burnt to a crisp on the outside.

Over the past four years since I graduated high school, I have been slowly working on expanding my cooking skills, and it has been a slow process. As of now, I can happily say I can cook more than just breakfast foods.

Pink Lemonade Cupcakes

The one thing I would like to improve on is baking. I am guilty of making salty cookies, failing at creative rice crispy treat making, or burning the edges to brownies. With the words ‘simple’ and ‘easy’ in mind, I have decided to make lemon cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting. To stay with a pink lemonade theme, I am going to use pink and yellow food dye to create the look.

Lemon Cupcake Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Cup unsalted butter (soften to room temperature)
  • 1 Cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs(large)
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 & 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 lemons (zest and juice from both lemons)

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 F
  • Mix by hand or use a mixer, the butter and sugar until creamed.
  • Add eggs and vanilla, then continue to mix until everything is mixed together (wet ingredients)
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. (dry ingredients)
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients (expect the batter to be thick)
  • Lastly, add the milk, lemon juice and zest until it is well combined with batter. Don’t over mix!
  • Line a 12 cupcake pan with liners, then add the batter about 2/3 of the way in each cupcake liner
  • Bake for 18 minutes, check with a toothpick to see if the middle is cooked through. Add an extra 2 minutes if needed.

I found that the amount of lemon juice you add to the batter can vary from 1 to 2 lemons. 2 lemons worth of lemon juice for me added a strong lemon flavor to the batter, and while I do like lemon flavor I wouldn’t recommend doing a lemon flavored icing on top as it might make the lemon too overpowering.

Vanilla Butter Cream Icing

*NOTE: Wait until cupcakes are cooled before beginning to apply icing*

Ingredients:

  • 1 Cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 4 or 4 1/2 cups of powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 or 2 teaspoons vanilla extract(this depends on how much vanilla you want in your, you can taste test as you are making the icing to determine how much you would like)

Directions:

  • Mix by hand or mixer the butter until creamy
  • Add 3 1/2 or 4 cups of your powdered sugar(leaving about a 1/2 cup on the side)
  • Add the heavy whipping cream and vanilla extract
  • Mix together well, then add the remaining 1/2 cup of powdered sugar

Troubleshooting: If you find your icing to be too liquidy, you can add a tablespoon more of powdered sugar. If it is too thick, you can add a tablespoon more of heavy whipping cream. If frosting is too sweet, add a little salt(1/4 of a teaspoon to start off with)

When I was adding dye to my cupcakes to make them pink or yellow, I reminded myself that a little goes a long way. I found pink and yellow food dye at my local grocery store, and I started off with a few drops in each bowl. It didn’t take more than 5 or 6 to each get the right look for the type of dye that I used.

I also added white pearl looking sprinkles to my cupcakes, but you could take a more creative direction and add thin lemon slices or lemon candies to the top.

Yes, my cupcake decorating could always use some improvement, but I think I did a good job on my first attempt. The one thing I wished I did differently is keep a better eye on the time the actual cupcakes were in the oven. They seemed to have baked a minute or two longer than they should have, but the overall cupcake was tasty. I hope you all enjoyed this recipe post. If you end up making this recipe, let me know on my Instagram or on my Twitter.
