New Year Resolutions – 2019

January 1, 2019

It’s finally 2019! I say that like it took centuries to get through 2018, but actually, the year went by pretty quickly. I remember that January and February of 2019 did seem to take a long time, then March through December went by fast. I am pretty excited for what’s to come in 2019, and I hope that everyone has a great year as well.

My New Year Resolutions

  1. Take better care of my skin
  2. Write more
  3. Procrastinate less
  4. Eat healthier
  5. Try to stay more organized

I decided this year to try to stay minimal with my new year resolutions, because I didn’t want to overwhelm myself. Instead, I am going to give myself smaller goals on a more weekly or monthly basis throughout the year. I find that I get more disappointed if I have a huge list of resolutions or goals, and mess up on them.

These top five resolutions are my main goals for the year, and what I need inspiration on the most. I already started off on my list today, and spent most of my morning deep cleaning my bedroom. Over the holiday’s it tends to get messy and crowded, and I took a few hours to try to throw away things that I have been holding onto for too long. I also re-organized a lot as well, and I already feel so much better.

Above is my new 2019 planner, and I am so thrilled to use it. Nothing feels better than having a new planner to start the year off with.

What are you looking forward to this year? Got any resolutions you want to share? Let me know in the comments below.

Other than my blog, I regularly post on Instagram. Be sure to give me a follow @annamaxwell018 or @LittlebitPatchCo for updates on my daily life.

My Summer Goals / Bucket List for 2018

June 12, 2018

I love making lists and plans, and with Summer fast approaching, a summer goals list is just what I need. I love having activities and adventures to look forward to, and having a somewhat Summer bucket list will be very helpful in keeping me busy. When coming up with the list, I decided to do a combo of summer goals and bucket list items. What’s the difference? I consider a goal to be something like “I want to write more”, and a bucket list item is “I want to travel _____”.

My Summer Goals / Bucket List

  1. Go to the beach
  2. Go to the movies (Incredibles 2 and Jurassic World 2)
  3. Start running
  4. Hiking
  5. Build my Pinterest to 1.1 million monthly views (it’s at 1 MILLION now!)
  6. Get some sun (I haven’t had a good Summer tan in a while)
  7. Paint my nails fun colors
  8. Complete another photo challenge(I’m currently doing one now on my Insta stories)
  9. Make popsicles
  10. Try New Recipes
  11. Make a scrapbook
  12. Make smores
  13. Enjoy some fireworks
  14. Do some glitter crafts
  15. Try going one day without technology
  16. Do a movie marathon
  17. Binge a TV show on Netflix (I need TV Show suggestions for this one!)
  18. Go out in the rain
  19. Write in my journal every day
  20. Bake something (cupcakes, brownies, cookies, whatever I feel like)

That’s it for my Summer goals and I hope you are inspired to create your own list of Summer goals or a bucket list. I will be sharing some of my accomplished Summer goals on my Instagram, so be sure to go check that out, and if you like my content, be sure to hit the follow button!

Say Hello to Littlebit and Patch

March 16, 2018

Hello everyone!

My name is Anna Maxwell, and this is my new blog Littlebit and Patch. This is not my first rodeo when it comes to blogging. I’ve had a few blogs in the past, my most recent was called Scribble Serendipity. I had a few reasons why I decided to move onto a new blog, but it was mainly due to my hosting. I had trouble with the blog host that I was using for my previous blog, but I can get into that in a later blog post.

What I’ve Learned From Blogging

It took me quite a while to come up with what I wanted my new blog to be. One thing I’ve learned from blogging is that it is a lot harder than it seems to figure out what exactly you want your blog to be. For me, I thought you could only be one thing, but I found myself wanting to branch out and do more. My blogs kind of ended up all over the place, and I feel like that’s what led them to fail. Or at least, one of the reasons.

With that in mind, I decided that for this new blog, I wanted to focus on two main topics: Lifestyle and Travel. I feel like with this setup, I can branch into other topics, but it keeps me focused on the main niche topics.

Why Littlebit and Patch?

As for the name, my inspiration for Littlebit and Patch is none other than my furbabies. Patch, my 14(almost 15)-year-old black labrador is a sweet old-man dog, and Littlebit, my 13-14ish fluffy white cat is a spoiled princess with heterochromia(two different colored eyes). While my furbabies are getting older, they have been such a big part of my life, and such a big inspiration for me.

My Goal

My goal for this blog is to enjoy it through my writing, photography, and experiences. I hope you all enjoy it just as much, and I can’t wait to start this journey.

Let me know in the comments below what you would like to see from me on this blog, and be sure to follow my Instagram for regular photos of my furbabies and my life.
